Sculptra is a biodegradable, semi-permanent injectable made from poly-L-lactic acid. It is injected in areas of fat loss, namely hollowed cheeks and temples. By creating the groundwork in which collagen may grow, Sculptra gradually increases skin thickness and therefore plumps otherwise depressed areas of the face. After several treatments with Sculptra, patients will see a visible difference in their appearance for up to two years.
