Sclerotherapy is a medical procedure used to eliminate unsightly veins that most commonly appear on the thighs, calves and ankles. With this treatment, veins are injected with a sclerosing solution which causes them to collapse and fade, resulting in an improvement of the appearance. Sometimes sclerotherapy and laser therapy are combined to give optimal results.
